As Muslims, we believe that
Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) is the Servant and Messenger of God. He was given the book called the Gospel (Injeel in Arabic), just as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was given the final revelation, the Qur’an. Jesus worshipped God himself, just as all the other prophets worshipped God. Jesus was praying and fasting to God his Creator. according to
Luke 6:12 Jesus Christ prayed to his God all night:
"One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God."
A fundamental part of Islam is that we believe that
God is one, he has no partners, no children, and we only worship him alone.
“He is God, the One.
God, the Absolute.
He begets not, nor was He begotten.
And there is nothing comparable to Him.”
—Quran 112:1–4
